FAQs

Can the three phases of Unilexam be booked individually?

The three phases of Unilexam can be booked individually as required. Each phase focuses on different areas. It is possible to book one or more phases depending on your support needs. You are not obliged to book all three phases together. You have the flexibility to choose the phase(s) that best suits your needs.
Please note that internal participants can only book Phase 3.

How are participants placed into the appropriate class level?

Before the start of any course (online, hybrid, or in-house) all participants complete a placement test. Based on the results, learners are assigned to the class that best matches their current language level. This ensures effective learning at the right pace and level, tailored to each participant’s skills.

Will I receive a certificate or confirmation at the end of the course?

Yes. After successful completion, participants receive a certificate of participation issued by Unilexam International. This certificate is for internal use only and is not an officially recognized language proficiency certificate (TELC, ÖSD etc.). Internationally recognized examinations can be arranged upon request through our cooperation partners.

What platform is used for online learning, and are the classes live recorded?

All online classes are conducted live via Zoom. Access details and instructions are provided 2–3 days before the course begins. Live instruction ensures real-time interaction, immediate feedback, and active participation.

Do I also need a language certificate to book the Unilexam Job Orientation?

The UniLexam Job Orientation is exclusively available to internal Unilexam students who have booked a German language course with us and have reached level B1 or B2 within our program. This ensures that all participants possess the required language skills to communicate effectively, integrate successfully, and perform confidently in a professional working environment. Completion of B1 or B2 level within UniLexam confirms that the necessary linguistic foundation for both job performance and social integration is in place.

Do you guarantee admission to a university or employment?

No, Unilexam International cannot guarantee university admission or employment. Final decisions are made solely by universities and employers, and Unilexam has no influence over their selection processes.

Why are the course prices (hybrid & in-house) not listed?

Our course prices may vary by country as we adapt them to local economic conditions and cost structures. This allows us to offer fair and appropriate pricing across different regions. A one-time registration fee applies  € 35 for in-house courses. This fee covers administrative handling, course coordination, and enrollment processing.

Who can attend the Tutor ́s Academy?

Only for teachers or educational institutions that want to expand their knowledge in teaching German as a foreign language or feel prepared as a docent before entering the classroom.

From Microteaching to dealing with heterogeneity and solving conflicts in a class this specifically designed workshop will help you to feel more confident and in charge as the course instructor.

Can I join a course that has already started?

As a general rule, we do not recommend joining a course that has already started, as each lesson builds upon the previous one and full participation from the beginning ensures the best learning outcome. However, an exception can be made if the course has just recently begun. In this case, joining within the first two days is usually acceptable.
